The Martindale Triathlon is reputed to be the oldest triathlon in the State of Texas.
The first race was held in 1978 and began in the City of San Marcos. The Martindale
differs from the traditional triathlon in that canoeing/kayaking substitutes for the
swim. The course has changed over the years due to increased traffic, flooding, and
course hazards. Please be aware of this fact when comparing course times across
the years. Join us for a day of fun, competition, and the traditional post-race meal.

2008 News & Updates
- The 2008 course will be the same as the 2007 course.
- In honor of the 30th anniversary, the race entry fee per person is only
$35 if you register during the month of August!
